Spears Manufacturing, headquartered in Sylmar, CA, has been a world leader in manufacturing and distributing plastic valves, fittings, and pipes since 1969. Due to our company's continued growth, we are currently looking for entry-level and experienced workers for our Caney, KS operations.

Entry-Level Operators

We are looking for applicants with a good team-oriented attitude, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. No experience is necessary.

Material handling experience is a plus
Assembly line experience is a plus
Must be able to retain information

Experienced Machinists

Machinists must have a basic Injection Mold background or knowledge
Ability to read and understand tool drawings and blueprints
Ability to hold close tolerances of +/- .002” required
Strong background in problem-solving skills
An understanding of cutting tool geometry

Additional Information

While specific experience isn’t required, each position has qualities that will be helpful for potential candidates. We will train suitable candidates for entry-level and experienced machinist positions.

Entry-level positions start at $15 per hour with differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts

High School Graduate

Technical School

Part verification using sine plate, height gage, and layout methods

Trade School

Machinist position $18 - $22 per hour based on experience and skill level

Specializing in manufacturing of aluminum tooling

Ability to run lathe/mills, read prints & micrometers
